What is the FACE program?

The Family and Children Education (FACE) program is designed for families who have children, birth - 4 years old.  Naneelzhiin Ji Olta, Inc. FACE consists of three components:  Home Based, Center Based and Adult Education.

 

Home Based Program

FACE Home Based Program serves the child, prenatal - 3 years old and family within their homes.

  • Home visits done weekly or bi-weekly
  • Parenting Skills
  • Development activities
  • Monthly Family Circle
  • Screenings & Referrals
  • Adult Education

 

Center Based Program

FACE Center Based Program provides preschool for children, 3-4 years old, and adult education for enrolled parent.

Program Requirements:

  • Parent must attend with their child
  • Adult will need to pass NJOI background check
  • Child must be potty trained
  • Child must have CIB

Classes are from Monday - Thursday at 8:30 a.m. to 2:15 p.m.   Child and parent are provided breakfast and lunch.

FACE Center Based Program promotes school readiness, Parent and Child Together (PACT) time, active learning, parent time and Navajo language and culture.

 

Adult Education

FACE Center Based Program offers an extended program for enrolled parents.

  • Assists in GED testing
  • Parenting skills
  • Navajo Cultural Awareness
  • Interview Skills
  • Job readiness
  • Setting goals for success
  • PACT time with child
